The Gift of God

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world he gave His only son….” His love inspires our giving in this season, and we want you to know how much He loves you! The truth is, none of us would know love except for God’s generous gift of Jesus Christ His son.” 1Jn 1:9, says, “We love because He first loved us.” We ask you to receive the gift of God- knowing His desire is for us to belong in His great family. The Bible says in John 1:12; “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name..”   God loves you, and He’s asking you to believe on the name of His dear Son, Jesus.  As the Bible says in Acts 16:31; “believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and thou will be saved, and thy house.” Reach out to him and receive the love He has for you, it’s a free and generous gift to everyone who asks! A simple prayer of invitation changes everything from darkness to light and ushers in the presence of His Holy Spirit to lead us, so we are not alone. Pray in this way: ‘Lord I confess my sins, my faults and failures. I believe You have the power to save me from falling. Please change my life, and make me Your family. I invite you into my heart to live and make your presence known, and I ask for Your Holy Spirit to help me live in peace with You.’ –Amen

Victory of the Risen King

This morning I was awakened by this single thought, the storms of life are not for the purposes of defeat, but for the greater purpose of victory.  They challenge us to find God in time need and test His ability to bring us through with greater vision and purpose.      Jesus has always expressed himself as ‘the way’ and continues to remind us all—nothing has changed!   So, you may have been momentarily put off in someway, but I urge you stop looking at others, stop looking around you and put your eyes on the living Christ.  If you have called on Him to save you, then He’s with you and close as the mention of His name. He reigns in power and is seated in the heavenlies.  During this time when we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, I believe the Lord is saying, ‘I want you fruitful and I do not want you defeated, and I want to bring you the victory of The ‘risen King’. He lives to make intercession for you, so that you might come through your circumstances with the victory that overcomes this world!  Christ Jesus—the king… Check yourself! Have you made Him Lord today? Because He surely lives in victory and wants you to overcome with Him—as King.  ‘He’s my King’.  That thought Reminds me of a message I heard by S. M. Lockridge entitled ‘That’s my King’.  It was a message delivered with a great anointing and unction with a continual reference to Jesus as, “My King!” He’s “my King!”  Is He your King today?  Be assured, His intention is to move you to a place of triumph through the power of His anointing.  ‘How’, you may ask?  Spend time with God and seek to walk in His presence and you will experience a greater anointing of His power and you will find an increase that’s guaranteed by His Holy Spirit.  It will move you closer to Him—guaranteed!

“Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.””   ‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬

Our Redeemer

Today, I found encouragement in Psalm 49:5;7;15; that says, “Why should I fear when trouble comes, when enemies surround me?”….“But as for me, God will redeem my life.“ I find it encouraging when I am overwhelmed with more questions than answers and more weakness than strength, that God alone has the power to redeem me when all my resources have been frustrated. It’s like the Lord is saying to me; “stop thinking about what you need to do and start thinking about who you need to trust.”  There is a promise here to those who trust God. It is a promise that reminds us, we do not have enough resources to ransom ourselves, but He is our Redeemer.  Renew yourselves with this thought, that you can do nothing of yourselves, but you can, by Faith, do all things through His redemption power..
Phil 4:13; “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

The Place of Prayer

I believe the Lord is saying, ‘You know some things, BUT you must pray!’ Prayer is awareness! The spirit of prayer will be the corrective lenses thru which God’s view of the word is opened up to you. Prayer changes our posture from haughty to humble, from sinner to saint! Prayer unlocks the Mystery of Christ to you, within you and through you! Prayer will be the defining mark of what you have come to know and what you truly believe. Recently, I heard the question asked this way, ‘How is it that you believe in a supernatural God, but don’t believe in the supernatural?’ Prayer is the key to the mystery that changes your thinking to recognize Jesus is at the spiritual place of God’s right hand of power pleading for you! Don’t tell Him He’s changed and no longer moving in supernatural power. He is there interceding for you to grasp the concept of an open heaven so you might boldly come asking to receive His grace and power (Heb 4:16).  I tell you truth, it is easier to listen to other preachers, read enlightening books, listen to spiritual music, and even read the Bible, but harder still to pray. Don’t misinterpret what I am saying, those things are good and necessary, but without the spirit of prayer, your life will be rather one dimensional missing the dynamic that can transform what you know in your head to what gets ahold of your heart!  Psalm 40 is a psalm of powerful awareness in which David’s ears are opened in corrective fashion to realize the resources afforded him by the King of heaven. What do you have need of today?  You must in faith believe “God IS, AND HE IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO SEEK HIM”.  What is it that you seek?  You will accomplish it in the place of prayer.
