Psalm 61:1-4

O God, listen to my cry!Hear my prayer!

From the ends of the earth,I cry to you for helpwhen my heart is overwhelmed.Lead me to the towering rock of safety,

for you are my safe refuge,a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.

Let me live forever in your sanctuary,safe beneath the shelter of your wings!

…In the place of overwhelming difficulty We have this word as an anchor to remind us we can be lead to a place the enemy cannot reach! Our cries are the place of heavenly access… We like David, may feel a long way off from that safety, but it’s placed within our reach when we pray!

The Value of God’s Thoughts

Just what is the surpassing value of knowing God and thinking His thoughts?  Jesus says in John 14:1, ‘Believe in God, believe also on Me’. The benefit of this well placed trust is a heart that receives comfort amid troubling circumstances and a mind that cannot fail to accomplish great things for His Kingdom.  I had this thought and I believe it is for you….Give God your mind and His thinking will develop your actions to do exceedingly beyond anything you could think as possible! Someone said recently when speaking to a group of young believers:  How valuable is your life? How valuable is your walk with God and just how will God carry forth His word and advance His message, if not with you?  Son, Daughter–Your life is highly valuable in God’s hands; give Him your mind, think on His word and in faith you will believe and do what is only possible with Him!

The Secret Place

Lord I want to be given to you that I could minister unto You and not be  given to to the foolish or the proud.
Hide me,  so I should not be given over to foolish speech, wayward thought or deceptive ways.  I ask You to run ahead of me and make a way where none exists by bringing defeat to my enemies as I  press through on the roadway of your provision.  Guard me from behind and deliver from the thief that comes to steal my love, my peace and my joy so as to hinder me from what you’ve said to possess.  And lead me to the secret place of your presence,  so I will declare your Name in integrity and Truth.  Draw me in the secret place, not only that I should know You, but Lord, that You  would will to know me!image

‘Because of Who I Am’

I sometime get that sense of God’s purpose for humanity and truly experience a desire to be used to reach others for His kingdom. In the middle of one of those thoughts, God brought a revelation to me; ‘you have abilities, or you think you do, but it’s not your abilities I need; it’s not your charm or charisma, not your personality or persona, no matter if you think it’s strong or weak. No, reaching men has nothing to do with your good intentions, or even what you think! Remember, ‘I told you to come to the cross and surrender your thoughts, intentions, and abilities or lack of them. I told you to in My word to reckon ‘yourself’ to be dead, so I could live because this world doesn’t need to know who you think your are, it needs to know Me and who I Am! So surrender your thoughts to Me! As long as you live ‘your life’, you cannot reproduce Mine! The Apostle Paul said, ‘I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me….’ He further says, ‘whatever things were gain to me, I counted as loss that I could know Him and the power of His resurrection life!’ God says, ‘live My life and others will see Me through your surrender. They will see a brokenness that is evidence you serve me and not yourself, and you will prove to be my disciple whose actions reach many because of who I Am!’
